Maggot
Maggot weighs roughly 12 lbs. She is gray with tan/gold blotches that vaguely resemble writhing... well... maggots. That combined with her surly disposition (and the blotch on her forehead that always makes her look mad) earned her the name Maggot. Her eyes are yellow/green, and she has a gold blotch on her forehead that looks like she got hit on the head with an axe. Her fur has darkened as she has aged... she used to be a rather ugly cat, and now I think she is beautiful. The only cat like her I've ever seen is Diana's Opal.
Eddy called me one night in 1991 from his parent's house and asked me what my favorite color for a cat was. I had no idea what the hell he wanted, so he said, "just say gray". I did, and he told me he was bringing me home a half-grown cat that they had just saved from being Babe's dinner. Babe was an Irish wolfhound, and could have eaten Maggot in two bites. He brought her home to me, and she joined Gleep and Trollop. She and Gleep are soulmates - they groom each other, sleep together... I can't imagine them apart.
Maggot is definitely my Crone kitty - even when she was only 9 years old. She tends to be cantankerous, and used to have a rather snarly disposition. She swats Gagme when her youthful exuberance becomes aggravating, and is constantly having words wtih Tatters.
Maggot does, however, allow Gleep to think that he is in charge of the household.
