All of the babies have been adopted, and Tatters is
getting spayed on June 14th. Thanks to everyone who
emailed me or came to see the babies, and thanks to
those of you who took these furballs into your life.

Breaking news: not only are these kittens free to a
good home, they are going to the vet tomorrow and will
be wormed, shot, and spay/neutered! I will be home this
Memorial Day weekend; if anyone would like to come over
to meet the remaining kittens, email me at
lynxfeather@yahoo.com!

The nursing sequence is up,
and the adventure of Harley & the laundry
basket. Still more to come!
Just for the record: I have 4 spayed/neutered cats
in addition to Tatters. She showed up on my
doorstep, a half-starved stray. She gained weight,
started becoming affectionate (to me, if not the
other cats), and at some point I realized that I
wasn't going to be finding her another home; she
was staying with me. I didn't get her spayed in
time, partially because I didn't realize she had
gone into heat. As soon as her kittens have homes, I
am having her spayed. :)

Adopted by Winter Wren, in Illinois.
How can I describe a cat with fur so long and soft it resembles
feathers, who is twice as large as his siblings, and seems to
be permanently mellow? He is so cute it boggles the mind.
I'm not sure what his personality will turn out to be; he
is so mellow that it is hard to tell. I believe that he was
the kitten turning somersaults under my hand the night before
they were born. |

f |
Adopted by Mike E and family, in Richardson, TX.
A classic black & white cat, she is destined to be large
and lovable. (We know her father, you see.) She was the first-born,
and the first to start walking around, but the last to open
her eyes. That was incredibly frustrating for her -- he was
ready to explore the world! And yes, she turned out to be a girl... we thought she was a boy for the longest time. |
| Lylly |
f |
Adopted by Prufrock, in Bryan/College Station, TX.
Lyllith (we call her Lylly) was the surprise -- the last-born,
she was the first to open her eyes, the first to leave the closet,
the first to eat solid food, the first to use the litter box.
A lilac-point siamese (no, we have no idea where she came from),
she is highly intelligent, vocal, and adventurous. She is awake
more than the rest, and spends a lot of time with her mother,
watching and learning from her. It takes her a while to accept
being held by someone, but once she decides you can pick her
up, she is happy to be picked up. |

f |
Adopted by Curio, in Grapevine, TX.
A ghost tiger, she becomes more exotic by the day. She started
out as a tortie with a tiger-striped tummy and light orange
splotches from her mother. Her coat is growing paler and she
is growing more adventurous. She is Lylly's second-in-command;
she was right behind her in leaving the bedroom and eating solid
food. She also spends a lot of time with her mom. |

Adopted by Curio, in Grapevine, TX.
A dramatically patterned silver and black tabby, she resembles
an ocelot. Her fur is incredibly soft, and she has the prettiest
face I've ever seen. You can rub her tummy for as long as
you want to, and her face will melt your heart. |
